During the 60’s forging press manufacturer Etchells Machinery Ltd had their main production site at Stafford Road Darlaston Wednesbury West Midlands.
Following their closure in 2006 Deblec have assisted J.R Engineering Willenhall on numerous Etchells press multiforge refurbs.
During the period of 2018 to 2021 three Etchells MF20 Multiforges owned by GE Aviation America used in the manufacture of jet and turboprop engines was shipped from their home in America back to Willenhall just a few miles of there birthplace for a full mechanical and electrical refurbishment.
The first was completed in the December of 2018, the second electrical system was built and commissioned during the lockdown of 2020.
Due to the uncertainty and disruption to the aviation industry caused by Covid the third press refurb was mothballed for 12 months, the order eventually came through during the summer of 2021 to complete the last press which is due to be shipped back to the States around December of 2021.
